Following his journey through cancer in 1997, Matt dedicated himself to health and wellness. He opened The Training Zone, a boutique fitness studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Matt's opposition to the "one size fits all" approach to exercise and his commitment to help others achieve good health led him to seek a more advanced education. His search led him to The C.H.E.K Institute in California where he has studied extensively. Using C.H.E.K.'s scientifically sound approach, Matt has helped empower others to achieve exceptional results for over 9 years. Matt works with a variety of individuals, ranging from the chronic pain patient to the deconditioned individual to the golfer seeking to improve his game through strength and conditioning. Matt's education, experience, and innate attention to detail invariably result in clients' success when more conventional systems have failed. Matt constantly updates his knowledge of Holistic health and fitness, traveling the United States in recent years to intern with the best in the industry. Knowledge gained through practical application is a superior form of learning. Matt has developed Essential Movement as a practice dedicated to helping to create health and vitality one client at a time.
